Qualifications: MBBS or equivalent + FRCA is desirable

Person specification
• MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
• Eligibility for full GMC registration at time of appointment (PLAB 1 and 2 and IELTS or higher qualification)
• FRCA or equivalent qualification is desirable
• Good knowledge of speciality of anaesthesia and critical care
• Evidence of a minimum of 3 years full time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time or flexible basis) in anesthesia; or shall have equivalent experience and competencies.
• Obstetric anaesthesia and ALS/ATLS are desirable
• Eligibility to work in the UK
• UK experience desirable
• Demonstrable good spoken and written English – IELTS with overall score of 7
• Meets professional health requirements
• Relevant specialty clinical knowledge, judgement, practical skills and proven ability to work effectively in different clinical settings required in the job
• Commitment to clinical governance/improving quality of patient care
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage own workload, time and trainee medical staff
• Commitment to on-going professional development
