Job title: Specialty Doctor

Specialization: Medicine – Stroke Unit

Qualifications: MBBS or equivalent

Experience: 4 years

· MBBS or equivalent medical qualification

· Eligibility for full GMC registration at time of appointment.

· Evidence of a minimum of 4 years full time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time or flexible basis) of which at least two years of which will be in a specialty training programme in a relevant specialty or as a fixed term specialty trainee in a relevant specialty; or shall have equivalent experience and competencies.

· Eligibility to work in the UK

· Up-to-date knowledge

· Demonstrable good spoken and written English – IELTS/PLAB 1 and 2

· Meets professional health requirements

· Relevant specialty clinical knowledge, judgement, practical skills and proven ability to work effectively in different clinical settings required in the job.

· Commitment to clinical governance/improving quality of patient care

· Effective communication skills

· Works well in a team with the capacity to work co-operatively with others and demonstrate leadership when appropriate, cope under pressure and has the capacity for problem solving and decision making.
