Person requirements
• MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
• Eligibility for full GMC registration at time of appointment.
• Evidence of a minimum of 4 years full time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time or flexible basis) of which at least two years will be in a specialty training programme in a relevant specialty or as a fixed term specialty trainee in a relevant specialty; or shall have equivalent experience and competencies.
• Eligibility to work in the UK
• Up-to-date knowledge
• Demonstrable good spoken and written English – IELTS overall score of 7
• Meets professional health requirements
• Relevant specialty clinical knowledge, judgement, practical skills and proven ability to work effectively in different clinical settings required in the job.
• Commitment to clinical governance/improving quality of patient care
• Effective communication skills
• Works well in a team with the ability to demonstrate leadership when appropriate, cope under pressure and has the capacity for problem solving and decision making.
